San Ramon has a strong base in white-collar and high-tech jobs. There is alot of new construction here in the favorably situated area, though home prices have soared and pushed the area higher up the scale. New housing is coming in master planned community projects which reserve space for parks and schools, while allowing traffic to access the freeways quickly. San Ramon is served by San Ramon Valley School District, which also includes Alamo, Danville, Diablo, and Blackhawk.

Walnut Creek Neighborhoods
  • Fleur du Mont - Built in 1993 -94 built by Courtland, these wonderful Mediterranean style homes contain some very striking architecture. Located off Bollinger Canyon Road near Alcosta Blvd. within secured gated community. Amenities include tennis courts.
  • Echo Ridge - Built in the early 90's by Grupe. These 2 and 3 bedroom homes range in square footage between 1800 - 2000. Many homes have views of the valley. Amenities include a community pool, spa, security gate, and Tennis courts.
  • Copper Ridge - With panoramic views of Canyon Lakes Golf Course and the San Ramon Valley, Copper Ridge is a unique living experience in the Bay Area.   • Gale Ranch - Beautiful homes built in the late 1990's by Shapell. Located off Crow Canyon road close to Camino Tassajara and the Blackhawk Shopping Plaza. Great family neighborhood with community pools. Shapell is considered to be a fine builder. Many of these homes contain 2-3000 square feet of living area.
  • Canyon Lakes - Built in the 90's, this community of homes is built around a lake and golf course. Located between Bollinger Canyon and Crow Canyon Roads.
  • Windemere - Windemere's master plan includes an array of services to connect residents with their community, neighbors, family and activities. The Community Center will include a new San Ramon-Dougherty Valley Library, a Police Sub- station, a performing arts theater, a fully-equipped kitchen and demonstration area, a large multi-purpose room with sport court wood flooring, a dance studio and art room, conference rooms and more. For Windemere parents, the City of San Ramon will administer a daycare program at the Community Center. Approximately 18 parks have been planned for Windemere, scheduled to be completed in pace with the new homes and neighborhoods.
  • Canyon Crest - Large 2200-2800 square foot one and two story homes built by Dame in the late 1980 - early 1990's. Fabulous neighborhood of well kept homes adjacent to Crow Canyon Road. Many 4 bedroom/3 bath models. Not a gated community.
